Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 is a downloadable game developed by Backbone Entertainment for the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade service and Sony's PlayStation Network. It is the second sequel to Capcom's Commando arcade game, following Mercs, the name Wolf of the Battlefield being a literal translation of the original game's Japanese title (Senjō no Ōkami).[1] [2]

Team Xbox scored the title a 7/10 stating "Commando 3 definitely has its appeal, but a lot more could have been done to extend the gameplay or just make it feel more varied."[7] IGN gave the title a 5.9/10 stating "In a crowded field of throwback arcade shooters on XBLA, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 just doesn’t stand out. "[5] OXM said "This three-player scrolling shooter has that old-school, spray-and-slay mojo that your inner rageaholic craves."[6]
